Hamish Bond
Forsyth Barr’s most recently appointed Authorised Financial Adviser is high performance athlete Hamish Bond. Following back-to-back Olympic Gold Medals in rowing, his goals are now firmly focused on competing in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, in the sport of individual-time-trial (ITT) cycling.
Completing his professional financial advisory qualifications, while at the same time pursuing his sporting ambition, is evidence of Hamish’s special ability to achieve performance at the highest level, through careful planning and application of a consistent and methodical process.
Hamish first joined Forsyth Barr in the firm’s Cambridge office in 2012, close to his rowing base at Lake Karapiro. More recently, Hamish has temporarily relocated to Wellington with his wife Lizzie, where the Capital’s hilly terrain and blustery conditions are providing an excellent base for his training programme on the bike. He will shortly be competing in Europe, with his immediate goal of qualifying for the World Championships in Norway, later this year.
While sport continues to be at the forefront of Hamish’s immediate plans, he looks forward to growing his professional credentials with the Forsyth Barr team over the longer term. We wish him every success as he continues to pursue his Olympic goals.
